Cameron Ferry

Leading from the Gulf of Mexico to the 10th largest port in the US, the Port of Lake Charles, the Calcasieu Ship Channel is utilized by both commercial and recreational boaters. The entrance to the channel is marked by stone jetties. Persons wishing to cross the channel must use the Cameron Ferry. From your vehicle on the ferry you can often view porpoises frolicking, tons of pelicans and shorebirds as well as boat traffic ranging from ocean going ships to shrimp boats, crew boats, fishing boats and even sailboats.

There is no fee to use the Cameron Ferry if crossing from west to east. There is a $1 per car fee if crossing from east to west.
